Samford Paintball started in 1998 as the second paintball field to open in Australia. It first opened up as Skirmish Samford, as skirmish was the most popular name for paintball, in fact paintball (the word) did not even exist then.
As you can imagine the game of paintball has grown up a lot since then. From Sheridan bolt action to Tippmann pump action, then Tippmann semi-auto, to today's Empire BT -4 combats semi-auto paintball gun.
The goggles have gone thru the same evolution with simple safety glasses to now the latest JT premise 270-degree vision full face mask.
Interestingly the clothing, the good old camo overall is still basically the same.
The games have grown from capture the flag to now at Paintball Samford, we have the Iron Dome and Battle bunker with mechatronics built in for even more paintball enjoyment.
What has stayed the same throughout is a commitment to the customer "To give them the best paintball experience with the best possible price".
Just a short drive from Brisbane it has the only paintball specific Battle Bunker in the World in fact it has 2. These with the largest specific built paintball 3 level fort and the paintball iron dome will give the customer an unforgettable paintballing experience.
And a little titbit, paintball and skirmish, different name same game.
